Camden Weiss

Bio: Hi! My name is Camden Weiss, and I am a senior Finance major and Entrepreneurship minor here at Miami. I am honored to be serving as the team’s president this year. I joined the team as a freshman with no prior rowing experience and it has defined my college career since then. Outside of rowing, I enjoy staying active by running or playing basketball and I also love traveling!

Hailey Fisk
​
Bio: Hi I’m Hailey Fisk and I am MURC’s Vice President! I am a senior at Miami studying Strategic Communication and Entrepreneurship. I started rowing my sophomore year of college after I saw MURC’s table in Armstrong and I decided to sign up without much thought. I fell in love with the sport, the community and the people. I love racing in regattas (especially in the fall) and hanging out with the team in our downtime. I can’t imagine my college career without it!

Bio: Hi! I’m Melanie Kase, and this will be my second year serving as the women's captain of MURC! I’m a senior kinesiology major, and I’m originally from Columbus, Ohio where I rowed for Upper Arlington High School. I joined MURC at the beginning of my freshman year and could not be more grateful for this team and the friends I’ve made through this club!

Bio: Hello! My name is Ultan Black and I am the Men's Captain this year. I am a Junior from Glencoe, Illinois, where I rowed four years at New Trier High School. I joined MURC my first week of school and have stuck with it for the last three years. I have met so many amazing people and have made some of my best friends through this team!

Bio: Hello! My name is David Weber and I am a junior Accounting major from Broadview Heights, OH! It is my pleasure to serve as the team’s treasurer for my 5th season as a member of the team! I decided my freshman year of college that I would try rowing and instantly became a fan. I have met almost all of my closest friends through this team and have developed a competitive edge as a rower. I cannot wait to serve this team as well as demonstrate my passion and dedication for the sport!

Bio: Hello! My name is Owen, I am the regatta coordinator this year! I’m in charge of almost all things racing: transportation, hotels, registration, etc. I’m a senior International Studies Major with an Environmental Science co major and a German minor. Outside of rowing, I am in Army ROTC and enjoy to cook and hike

Bio: Hi! I am a Junior mechanical engineering major. I am moving into my fourth season with MURC and I am on the men’s varsity team. I joined rowing to try a new sport and because other members wanted me to give it a try. At home I enjoy going to the beach, playing hockey, and golfing. My favorite memories with our team are Head of the Hooch and medaling in the Head of the Ohio with our Men’s Novice 8.

I joined the team second semester of my freshman year with no rowing experience and it was the best decision! MURC has given me my best friends at Miami and I am excited to serve as the club secretary this year!

I joined MURC second semester of my Sophomore year and have loved it ever since! I'm very excited to serve as MURC's Safety Chair 24-25 and looking forward to an amazing year!

Bio: Hi! My name is Chase Hughes, and I’m the current Internal Fundraiser for MURC this year. I’m a senior from Raleigh, North Carolina majoring in ETBD. Though I do have athletic experiences prior to rowing I didn’t have any practice within the sport until I joined my sophomore year. Since having joined, I’ve found my time here enjoyable and I’m grateful for the experiences and friends that I’ve made within the sport.

Bio: Hi! I’m Hunter Schisler and I’m a senior Political Science/Marketing/Fashion major from Mt. Vernon, Ohio. I am going into my second year on the team after joining my junior year with no rowing experience. All of my roommates have been in MURC and they convinced me to join and I’m so happy they did because I found a great group of people that I can laugh with on and off the water!

I join MURC as a coxswain my second semester of sophomore year by meeting some amazing friends and convinced me to join.
